You’ve packed the gear bag, tied the cleats, and made sure your player had everything they needed to hit the field ready. But what about you?

From freezing cold mornings to sweltering afternoons, doubleheaders that never end, and those mad dashes through afternoon pre-game traffic, you’ve been there for every inning. You’ve earned your spot in the lineup too – and it’s time you had the gear to prove it.

This guide is packed with must-haves for baseball and softball moms who live at the field and deserve to be just as prepared (and comfortable) as their kids. Let’s get you game-day ready.

And if you are still looking for baseball and softball gear, please check out: The 2025 Ultimate Baseball & Softball Gear Guide for Kids.

Chair

There is nothing worse than the bleachers – especially when the temp is freezing or boiling. The solution? A comfortable folding chair:

Coleman Portable Camping Chair with 4-Can Cooler: Nice rookie model.

GCI Outdoor Sunshade Rocker Outdoor Rocking Chair with Canopy: This is next level – a canopy and a rocker?!?

Cooler

The first time you go to a travel game or tournament, you see the family rolling in with a cooler on wheels and you probably roll your eyes. Two hours later you become besties as they offer you access to their bottomless snacks and drinks. You can’t freeload forever so might as well get your own. There are a ton of options and price points.

Coleman Portable Camping Chair with 4-Can Cooler: Nice sensible model.

YETI Tundra Haul Portable Wheeled Cooler: This is probably the nicest one on the market

Snacks (for you)

Time to upgrade your snacks as well – better taste and more protein.

IQBAR Protein Bars: Delicious and come in multiple flavors – including chocolate – high in protein and fiber, low in carbs.

TRUBAR Vegan Protein Bars: Delicious as well – the company is woman owned.

DAVID Seeds Original Salted and Roasted: These are actually for the kids – they love them!

Speaker – to make your own dance party during games!

These can get double-duty for both you and the team!

JBL FLIP 5, Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker: These are small and reasonable.

JBL Partybox 310 – Portable Party Speaker with Long Lasting Battery: These are large but very popular.

Water bottle

It’s not only the kids that need water bottles. But your not going to forget yours in the dugout or throw it 30 feet in the air (unless your kid gets “robbed” on a called third strike). So you might as well get a nice one:

YETI Rambler 26 oz Stainless Steel: Nice sensible option.

Stanley: The gold standard

Portable phone charger

Don’t get stuck in the middle of a ball field with a dead phone. Portable chargers can be a life saver – and work with more than just phones.

Anker Zolo Power Bank: Trusted, solid brand.

Sunglasses

Essential in both the warmer and colder days. Sunglasses can be tricky to buy online, but we have a recommended option below.

CARFIA Acetate Polarized Sunglasses

Leggings and Sweats

These are essential on those cold days in the spring and fall.

High Waist Yoga Pants with Pockets

Womens Flare Leggings

Women’s Joggers Pants

Hand warmers

I get so jealous when I see people with these on those cold days!

HotHands Hand Warmers: old fashioned, always work!

AI Hand Warmers Rechargeable 2 Pack: Ummm… AI? Well people seem to love them!

Sunscreen

This is a no-brainer but quite often I see kids burning up in the outfield. Just buy some and throw it in their bag. I know some parents love the spray, but I’ve never figured out to apply it on the face without getting in the eyes.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Face Moisturizer with Sunscreen: Great base option!

Neutrogena Sport Face Sunscreen: Great face option if you don’t like zinc.

Thinksport SPF 50+ Mineral Sunscreen: Favorite option – zinc without the ghost effect!

I hope this list helps you get through the baseball season (which now runs from January through December)!
